Another improvement was the introduction of a new module: social skills. The focus is on communication, teamwork, interaction, conversation techniques... skills students need when they are applying for a job or working in agricultural jobs. Skills that you don't learn if you just read about them, so the lessons are designed on the principal 'learning by doing'. That means working together on assignments, doing exercises and roleplaying.
"Hopefully both teachers and students will also use these new skills in other modules," says Arie, because these skills are fundamental for working together in project based education."
